New Forest Background - Administration
The Crown land of The New Forest has been placed under the management of the Forestry Commission according to the Forestry and New Forest Acts. The Forestry Commission practices forestry within the statutory silvicultural Inclosures and has a responsibility for managing the unenclosed Forest.
