Socio-economic assessment of offshore windfarm development
GeoData has undertaken a number of socioeconomic assessments of windfarm proposals to feed into the EIA. The proposals for Scarweather Sands have been assessed to establish the background environment and potential contributions of the wind farm proposals.
A socioeconomic impact assessment of the potential for development of an offshore windfarm off the south coast of Wales has been undertaken. Extensive consultation with information providers has been used to establish the local social and economic context for the proposals. A social and economic impact assessment has been conducted and the potential benefits were assessed through desk-based studies and comparative evaluation.
