TWINBASS stakeholder based water resource management
The aim of the project is to provide a conceptual participatory context in which to engage key stakeholders in Water Resource Management in the Nura Basin, central Kazakhstan.
Utilising the of desktop, field investigations hydrological modelling determine a series of potential management strategies with associated impacts on the management of water resources in the Nura-Ishim river basin in Kazakhstan. Institutional and economic frameworks are identified and recommendations for the development of the newly formed River Basin Authority (RBA) were presented.
