Metadata (data about data) is crucial to support discovery, management, use and archive of datasets, to describe contents
and appropriate use.
GeoData is currently developing a number of desktop and web-based GIS metadata systems. As a result we have established expertise in building systems compliant with international standards such as: ISO19115, FGDC and other standards using the core architecture XML.
In addition, as part of our database administration role, we are collecting and collating metadata for our clients.
