Geomorphology » River Restoration

Developing suitable approaches for river restoration relies on establishing the appropriate technical, aesthetic and ecological response.

Fluvial geomorphological assessment has been important in ensuring that the proposed restoration schemes work ' with nature' in that they are adjusted to the water and sediment regime. Ultimately, these programmes promote sustainable river restoration, whereby minimal ongoing maintenance is needed in a river system designed to adjust in an adaptive fashion.

GeoData has been instrumental in developing survey, pre and post-monitoring programmes to evaluate the geomorphological performance of channels.
