Introduction to Quantum GIS (2 day course)
This NEW course introduces the underlying principles and methods of Geographical Information Systems (GIS). It examines the processes involved in the capture, storage, manipulation, analysis, presentation and output of digital geographical data in a GIS and provides opportunities for the development of practical skills in processing data using a leading Open Source GIS software package, Quantum GIS.

Advanced ArcGIS 10 (2 day course)
Updated to the include the new features introduced at ArcGIS version 10, this course builds on the delegate's existing knowledge of the underlying principles and methods of Geographical Information Systems (GIS). It comprises a series of presentations and computer–based practical sessions using ESRI's ArcGIS 10 software with example datasets taken from a variety of fields. The basic functionality of the three main elements of ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcCatalog and ArcToolbox) is expanded upon and customisation/extensions are introduced.

Demystifying Map Projections (1 day course)
The course is designed to provide GIS professionals with practical training in handling coordinate systems (map projections and datums) within industry standard GIS packages.
The course places less emphasis on the mathematical theory of map projections and more on what the GIS professional needs to know in order to handle projections on a day–to–day basis and to be confident that the projection and parameters used are correct. The course is focussed on practicalities such as knowing when a dataset is correctly projected or which projection to choose in a given situation.
