Research and Enterprise

GeoData's mission is to provide integrated services for a sustainable environment and society.

We recognise the integrated nature of data and information to inform policy and decision making and the role of participation and consultation of local communities in building solutions.

Our activities cross multiple domains with experience across environment, socio-environment, data and information management and online information and knowledge exchange; assembling interdisciplinary teams of academics and external associates to support project design and delivery.

GeoData provides academic and professional resources and services, emphasising the cross-disciplinary nature of the environmental and social sciences. Drawing on environmental and social expertise of associated staff to support environmental management.

GIS and spatial data and analysis services to public, private and third-sector organisations in the UK and internationally. Our geospatial work underpins other thematic areas focused on systems analysis, geospatial information handling, GIS training and capacity development.
