COWRIE
Developing offshore renewables opportunities generates a wide range of data and information. The Crown Estate, through COWRIE developed a Data and Information Management Plan to meet the objectives of effective management and access to this resource.
GeoData consulted, developed and implementing the Data and Information Management plan for the COWRIE programme. Guided by the Data Technical Working Group GeoData developed a web-GIS based front end to the data and information supported by guidance and standards for data supply and access from the offshore developers. The longer term management of the information is an issue that will be developed within the scope of a Stewardship Plan.
