Geomorphological mapping of Sulphur Creek, California, USA

An ArcPad application was developed for the School of Geography to aid spatial data capture of geomorphological features along Sulphur Creek within California, USA.

The application was customised with a tool bar and data capture forms. The customised forms provided a consistent data capture method. The application allowed the fieldworker to capture information about large woody debris, channel morphology, terracing, mass wasting and photo IDs. The project used an IPAQ h5550 PDA paired with a Bluetooth GPS and protected with an "Otterbox".
