Morphological Alterations of Scottish Rivers

Controlled Activities Regulations will control activities with significant environmental impacts on Scottish Rivers. GeoData have created the Morphological Pressures Database to support this process of regulation.

As part of this process SEPA have developed a Morphological Impact Assessment System (MImAS) which requires a series of input datasets. This project is creating the database of morphological alterations on Scottish freshwater bodies. The programme is creating a set of GIS layers and attributes that describe these modifications within 22 separate 'activities' that relate to the engineering activities that CAR will control.
