GIS Links
A resource management application based on GIS and spatial database technology has been created for a supplier of building materials.
The system has been developed using SQL Server and MapInfo for SQL Server, meaning that all spatial objects are stored within the database rather than as a graphical GIS layer.
The application comprises 2 parts - a GIS component which displays the resources and extraction areas and allows spatial queries to be undertaken, and a database front end which provides reporting and textual queries.
