OID - Ophthalmic Image Database
OID is an online database of high-resolution images used for teaching and research.
Using industry standard Linux and Apache web server platforms, together with in-house developed CGI C software, OID provides users with a web interface to search and browse for medical images.
The system supports a hierarchical classification system (the NHS READ code database) and includes dynamic image transformation features for thumbnails and user-defined sizes. Images can be stored in a list of favourites for later email or export in web or PowerPoint slideshow formats.
